Happy Monday, you guys! I’m coming off of a super fun (and busy) weekend, and am feeling so inspired! Friday I attended the bloguettes workshop in Chicago and it was awesome! I was only able to attend one of the three days, but learned so much and have already begun implementing their lessons! The rest of the weekend was spent partaking in… other… activities (aka stocking up on $3 mimosas) LOL!
Anyways, today I wanted to shift content from my typical weekend outfits to workwear! I know I talk about balancing my blog, school and work all the time, and thought I’d focus on what I actually wear to work!
My office is pretty casual and you can basically whatever you want (that’s appropriate), so getting dressed in the morning isn’t nearly as difficult as it could be! My typical rotation includes dresses and a jacket, or a nice top and jeans. With the weather cooling down, however, I’ve been leaning towards more nice blouses and bottoms!
A little while back I spotted this lace-up blouse at Target and knew that it would perfect for wearing to work, and out on the weekends. As a recent graduate, I definitely need my pieces to be multi-purpose 😉 I’ve been so obsessed with everything lace-up lately, so scooping this up this lace-up blouse was a no-brainer! I paired it with these olive pants that I’ve had for the longest time, and topped it off with my favorite heels from Joe’s Jeans. I’ve had them since last summer, but am seriously crushing on these ones from Steve Madden. The lace-up blouse is perfect for work and the lace-up detail adds that extra oomph, but the outfit balances out with the casual olive denim. I don’t like to get too dressed up, so this is the perfect combo!
What’s your office dress code like?!
