Happy Hump Day, everyone! Jumping right into things, I have to admit that when this off the shoulder dress first arrived, I never thought it would see the light of day on my body… let alone this blog! I initially thought it was too small and extremely unflattering upon trying it on, but after a lot of convincing from my mom that it was great, decided I would give it a go.
Let me tell you, there’s nothing worse than admitting when your parents are right! I’ve seen this off the shoulder dress on so many people, but I ordered mine in July and let it sit in the bag for weeks. I wish I had worn it out sooner, but decided that I’ll be wearing it for as long as the weather will allow me! And according to my weather app, that’s going to be for a long while. #90degreesI was a bit leery of the off the shoulder trend, but after testing it out, have bought several similar pieces since. In fact, amidst a late-night weakness of online shopping the other night, I ordered this off the shoulder dress in cream (on sale for $25!), which will be perfect for fall… especially paired with heeled, brown booties!I think what I love most about the silhouette of this dress is the fact that your arms aren’t completely bare, and are slightly covered with the flattering ruffles. On top of that, it comes in this super pretty pink color, which although appears really bright in the pictures – is actually (and thankfully) a bit toned down in person. I guess I’ve really been into pink dresses this summer. It does come in black, which I LOVE, because we all know black is one of my favorite colors! I think it’s also worth mentioning that this dress is under $18. Get on it 🙂
