Happy Monday, ya’ll! Hope you guys had a great weekend! Mine was actually so fun, as some of my girlfriends celebrated my birthday a bit early and went out! I feel like I’ve been in hibernation this past winter, so it was the perfect weekend to kick off an exciting summer. My actual birthday is on Wednesday, and then this weekend I’m headed to DC, so I’m certainly looking forward to this week.
I’ve been doing some behind the scenes planning for the blog, and it got me thinking about what my goals will be for this next quarter. While I know that Q2 technically started a little while ago, I still wanted to share some of my goals for these next few months… and hoping it’ll hold me accountable!
Schedule Social Media Posts Each Week
This might sound like a no-brainer, but scheduling social media is just so difficult sometimes. I wrote a post of my favorite social media scheduling tools, which have definitely made a huge difference – but I will admit guilt to posting one-off things during the day, and then forgetting to add additional posts. There’s nothing worse than writing a post that you’re super proud of, and then having no one see it because you forgot to schedule and promote! I’ll also say that social media isn’t my favorite thing to do for myself (I enjoy doing it for others), and I have tried to bribe several of my PR friends to schedule them for me on multiple occasions haha!
My specific goal for this quarter is to schedule at least 5-7 posts per day, including on the weekends.
Increase My Posting Schedule
Back in the day (way back), I used to post about 2-3 times per week, and then that dwindled down to 2 posts per week, and now I’m averaging about 1 per week. I realize that if I want to continue growing this space, I have to amp up how many times I’m posting, and so I’m hoping to start out with at least 2 posts per week! Not only will it help me in the long run, but I truly enjoy creating content and posting about a variety of things. I’m looking forward to more posts about my latest interests – such as beauty and skincare – and can’t wait to share with you all.
New Blog Design
This one is a bit up in the air, but I would absolutely love to show off a new blog design around here! I have a few things in mind, but still haven’t been able to convince myself to pull the trigger just yet. I’m pretty sure I’m approaching nearly two years of this design (which I love!), but I’m ready for something a bit more elevated, and something that has some more features. I’ve told myself that if I can stick to the two goals mentioned above for at least three weeks, then I’ll treat myself to a new design!
What are some of your Q2 goals? Whether you’re a blogger or not, I’d love to hear!

I’ve been posting more than ever this year, & I don’t know WHERE it came from, but I’m grateful for the apparent burst of inspiration! Makes it easier to hit my goal of 2-3 posts per week.
Congratulations, Kate! I’m so jealous because I just cannot seem to find the motivation to consistently post! Hoping I’ll be able to absorb some of your good energy and get it going!
