Success at Last

cleveland art museumIf there’s one thing I continuously wish I had more of in my closet… it would have to be dresses. For reasons unknown, I’ve always gravitated towards pants and tops over dresses and skirts, but sometimes you just want to feel super girly, and dresses do exactly that!rebecca minkoff toteIf there’s one style that I had to choose over and over again, it would probably be the shirtdress. I’ve had this one for a while, as well as several others (in fact, I ordered the Ann Taylor shirtdress that everyone has, but I ended up being much too short for it), and whenever I put it on it gives me that extra oomph! Probably because of the bright, pink color, but also because I think the silhouette is very flattering.pink shirtdress 4rebecca minkoff toteThe silky material is light enough to be worn throughout summer, and even spring. This past easter I actually paired it underneath a quilted jacket.KA3_2986cleveland art museum 3You may have also noticed that this is the first time I’ve EVER worn sunglasses on this blog! I briefly mentioned in this post that I don’t wear them often, but have been contemplating investing in a more expensive pair. Well right after this post was published, I headed to Nordstrom to browse some more of the anniversary sale and spotted these in BP!cleveland art museum 1Sunglasses have never really appealed to me because I’m basically blind, and find my glasses so much more comfortable than contacts (which are necessary for wearing sunglasses). I have given them a try, though, and after trying on so many pairs of sunglasses and all of them turning out to be complete failures, I figured maybe they’re just not for me. Well a certain someone told me that maybe I should try cat-eye… and voila! cleveland art museum stepsYes, they’re a bit funky… but I love them, anyways (and they’re only $12?!)! I never really knew how much sunglasses could transition an otherwise normal outfit into something a bit more spectacular! I feel so posh (*insert sassy emoji here) 😉

Woah! Not sure why you don’t wear more dresses, or more of that color! Hello sexiness/ultra flattering/ (insert other really positive adjectives). What a beautiful post, thank you for sharing!
