While I love wearing girly dresses and heels – which I usually dedicate for the weekends – I’m most often seen wearing comfortable, flowy tops like above, and jeans (or leggings). With fall quickly approaching (or is it? because it’s been 90 degrees for the past week and a half…), there’s nothing better than light, oversized sweaters that’ll be an easy transition piece into the next season.
I’ve been hitting up Old Navy like crazy over the summer, and stopped in before I headed back to school. They’ve been by go-to for stocking up on essential pieces – especially for the (hopefully) pending cooler temperatures. I thought I had found everything that I needed, but fate had is so that I spotted this oversized sweater on my way to the checkout counter!
My first thought of recognition was that it was Free People… until I remembered where I was. It has such a striking similarity to one of my favorite brands, so I knew I needed to try it on immediately.
Thankfully it was another one of those perfect dressing room moments, because I loved it so much! I paired it with blue jeans and sandals in today’s post, but already have ideas for black denim and ankle booties to give it an edgier vibe.
I know I keep talking about the weather, but you guys have no idea how much I’ve been praying for it to cool down. Mostly because I’m extremely uncomfortable, but mainly because I want to wear all of my cute clothes!I decided to size up to make it even more oversized, but don’t think that’s completely necessary. The sleeves are a bit too big, so I definitely suggest sticking to your normal size!

I’m totally into those sweaters. Shoes are awesome. Im looking to do booties this fall with jeans, leggings and maybe maxi skirts. Thanks for the fashion tip as always ?
I just have to say that I love your blog name! Also, I love those strappy sandals to death, and it’s great to see a blogger’s photos that show how much you enjoy and love your outfit.

Omg thank you SO much for the sweet comments! I’ve always been pretty self conscious about the name, so that really means a lot! And the sandals were such a steal for $22!
SUCH a darling look my friend! I, too, love the boho Free People esque vibe of this outfit. The shoes are just the best. I want a pair!

Thanks, Susie! I’m all about finding those steals 😉
This sweater looks so utterly comfortable for any cool night. Too bad I already have way too many sweaters with not enough cold nights to wear them. :]

Omg I agree! I’ve been buying all these fall clothes, and as soon as I think cool weather is here to stay, it goes back up to 80 degrees!
