Remember that post where I talked about trying to define my style? Well I think I’m inching closer and closer to being able to do so! I mentioned that I’m always drawn to cute tops, jeans, and heels – and this outfit is the perfect example of that!
Believe it or not – in the past, I would get so frustrated with being unsatisfied with my entire wardrobe, that I would just throw on a t-shirt and leggings… not just to class, but for weekend outings, too. I know, not cute. But it was brought to my attention that your appearance is your first impression – and although a t-shirt and leggings are super comfy – it doesn’t make you stand out, seem attractive, or look put together! In fact, most of the time I felt kind of bummy lol. So, lately I’ve been pursuing items that I really, really love, and that fit “my style.”
Last weekend I was in Old Navy (they are absolutely amazing right now) and I stumbled upon this top. Although I initially thought it might be too boxy, I decided that it was too perfect to pass up – and we all know how much I love an oversized fit! There’s also a minor backstory of how my mom and I argued over whether or not to purchase it, but of course I won 😉
It’s the perfect color combination for summer and the structure is nice, and flowy. And of course I had to pair it with my favorite bag and shoes, and these pretty earrings I bought from Loft (they’re sold out, but these are super cute). I also think it’s got a bit of a beachy vibe and I would definitely wear it on my
nonexistent vacation. I’m thinking of pairing it with white jeans next time. What do you think?Top: Old Navy // Jeans: GAP // Heels: Herve Leger // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
