Happy Monday, ya’ll! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty awesome… too short, as always – but filled with lots of sun (and great drinks)! On Friday, I hung out with two of my girlfriends at a popular Mexican spot, Federales, and the great conversation and amazing spicy margaritas made for such an amazing time. Then on Saturday we explored all over Chicago – hitting up the Green City Farmer’s Market in Lincoln Park, and then making our way down to Hyde Park for the 57th Street Art Fair… only to wind right back up at Federales again for some paloma’s and more margs! Very busy, indeed.
The great thing is that the weather is finally heating up here (it was almost 90 degrees yesterday), so naturally I’ve been purchasing all the light and airy pieces that I can find. I spotted this blue LOFT bell sleeve top a few weeks back, and knew it was coming home with me! I’ve been a huge fan of the bell sleeve for quite some time, and think it instantly jazzes up a top.
I wore this LOFT bell sleeve top for another day of running around town, and Millennium Park was my first stop! I’ve been here for nearly 10 months, and had never actually walked around! The flowers were in full bloom and people were everywhere, but my favorite part was stumbling upon this bridge connected to the museum that overlooks the city. So break taking, right?!
These amazing Kenneth Cole mules actually held up pretty well, too. I had been wanting a pair for the longest, and finally stumbled upon these at Nordstrom Rack. They’re extremely comfortable and easy to walk in, and I’ve probably worn them the most out of any other shoe the past few weeks! I’d definitely say they feel like butter 😉
Cheers to a great week, everyone!

Thanks so much, Dana! It’s definitely one of my favorites this season! And it was such a great weekend… now that it’s warm I’ve been trying to get out as much as possible!
I am impressed that you were able to hit up so many different neighborhoods in one day! I am so excited for Chicago summers! It just makes everything so happy! I love your bright and airy outfits!

Thanks so much, Rach! And I know… even though it was a busy day, it didn’t really seem like it which was amazing! And me too, this is my first summer here so I can’t wait!
This post was so cool. You spoke about events you attended and somehow wove it into fashion and I adore the outfit. I need a pair of white above the ankle jeans. So very creative. I want to try some of those spots you mentioned. They sound so exciting.
Thanks a lot, Mom LOL! I’m glad you like it 🙂 And I’ve been trying to talk about more things I do around Chicago!
