You guys, I seriously cannot believe it’s December and that 2016 is coming to a close! I feel like I just moved to Chicago, started a new job and began graduate school – but here we are four months later! Time sure does fly by.
One of the things that I was most nervous about with moving here is the impending doom of winter. I’m sure everyone has heard about how horrible Chicago winters are, but to my surprise – we’ve actually had a wonderful and unexpectedly long fall season! I’ve been trying to prepare my winter and fall style by stocking up on cozy sweaters and vests and a variety of great booties! If you see me around town, you’ll probably find me in different variations of this exact outfit!
I spotted this amazing sweater from Uniqlo a little while back and knew it was perfect! Mock neck sweaters are so in right now (they’re not a full turtleneck) and I love the oversized fit. It’s super warm and heavy, and comes in a slew of great colors! I can’t recommend it enough!
Another great find to elevate my fall style are these gorgeous Ash suede booties. I didn’t really think of myself as a pointed-toe shoe person, but let me tell you – I’ve never loved a bootie so much. The suede is so smooth and soft, and the pointed-toe instantly makes me feel chic! If you checked out my fall bootie guide, you know that I love a high shaft with a low heel. So perfect!
What are some of your favorite pieces for the season?!
