Happy Monday, everyone! I know I’ve mentioned this before, but several years ago you almost could always find me in a tee and leggings (aside from nighttime), and it took me a while to get on board with dressing like a put-together human being on a regular basis. But boy am I glad I did LOL!
Although I love “dressing up” now, I didn’t quite kick my habit of buying easy, throw on pieces, and believe it or not – you don’t have to. This printed Ann Taylor blouse is my exact definition of that, and it’s super cute, right? The ease is all in the fact that the top holds its own, and I don’t have to do anything but throw it on with some jeans and shoes, and go!
I love the navy and gold combo, but my favorite part is the silhouette… sign me up for anything that’s flowy and loose! Another good thing is that although it’s long-sleeved, it’s a super light material and won’t make overheat during the warmer days. The cute little pleats on this Ann Taylor blouse are also an added bonus!
I’m all about cute outfits for dinner, and think this is the perfect outfit! In fact, my birthday is on Tuesday and I’m thinking of pulling it out for my birthday celebration!
On a side note, a funny story about these pictures is that they were taken on a bridge at Millennium Park and there were actually tons of people around me! The planks in the bridge had pretty wide gaps, so I’m sure I provided a bit of entertainment to passerby’s watching me wiggle around trying to loosen my heels from the holes!
Still not quite used to this whole having-to-take-pictures-in-front-of-strangers thing!
