If you stopped by the blog last week, then you know that I mentioned a suede moto jacket is one of spring’s hottest trends. Well, something else you’ve been seeing everywhere is off-the-shoulder tops and dresses. They’ve been around since last summer (I posted a host of off-the-shoulder pieces since then, and this gorgeous teal number is one of my favorites), and I’m so glad the trend stuck around!
When they first started appearing I thought it wouldn’t be flattering on my broad shoulders, but I actually think it’s the perfect silhouette for me! I’ve been into all of the super girly things – fringe, ruffles, you name it – and this Ann Taylor off-the-shoulder top definitely encompasses that!
I have to admit… I was particularly drawn to it because while I graduated college nearly one year ago, I’m not far removed from the good ‘ol “going out tops.” In fact, one of my friends and I have a running joke that we need to stop being the only 23-year-olds shopping at Ann Taylor (not happening, though), and buy outfits that are more “hot” LOL. And I for sure think this top fits the bill.
I know I mentioned a while back that I would always wear t-shirts and leggings everywhere, and I’m SO happy I’ve been delivered from that! Super feminine pieces like this Ann Taylor off-the-shoulder top make me feel ten times better, and as soon as this wretched rain stops and the temperatures warm up, I’m totally pairing it with white jeans and these amazing suede wedges!
Hope you all have a fabulous rest of the week!

This look is the perfect example that even simple details can make a look stand out. That is a gorgeous top and love how you styled your hair for this look!

Thanks a lot, Laura! You’re the sweetest! And I’m going to be wearing this top a ton!
You are so cute! Hm, I might have to start checking out Ann Taylor now.
Aw thank you, Steph! You’re so sweet! And you most certainly need to, it’s one of my favorite!
I absolutely love that top! Beautiful backdrop too!
Thanks so much, Lauren! The top is so fun!
Lovely. I’m a big fan of off the shoulder and cold shoulder tops. These kind of tops really accentuate no matter the shoulder size! You look fantastic in that one and the teal off the shoulder in one of your earlier posts. You find ageless quality pieces in Ann Taylor.
Thank you very much, Mom 🙂 And yes, I agree! I’m so happy they work well with my shoulder type!
