You know how you purchase something and unexpectedly love it more way than you ever thought you would? Well that’s how I feel about this dress.
I was browsing Nordstrom (as I typically do every.single.day) when I stumbled upon it. I’ve never really done the fitted look, but I figured why not – especially at such a good price point. Well I’m so happy I did! I’ve worn it at least four times since buying it and paired it several different ways (my night look is coming soon!) and I honestly would probably wear it everyday if I could.
The ruching on the side and the asymmetrical hem are the key details, and I love the color. When I first purchased it, it was available in black and olive, but I chose the heather grey because I knew it was so versatile and could be worn with anything. Black can, as well, but I own way too much black 😉
I wore this for a day of errands and getting my nails done and it was so comfortable. It was perfect with my denim shirt (hoping my collar wasn’t messed up all day like in the photos!!) and slide sandals – to give it a put together, yet casual vibe. I also got a lot of compliments on it, too, and it’ll quickly become one of my most-worn items this summer!Since I’m starting to love this style, I’ve been thinking about purchasing this red dress, this black one with a cowl neck, a coral tank dress, and my favorite high split dress.
There’s so many body-con dresses out there, but I think ones with the asymmetrical hem are definitely more flattering! On another note, if you live in Cleveland you should stop by Dewey’s coffee in Shaker Square! I’ve only had iced coffee there, but they have such a wide variety of flavors; I think I had like butter pecan or something?! It was so delicious! I definitely recommend!

The perfect casual dress. It works as a neutral and you can pair it with almost anything.
You look adorable.

Thanks so much, Shoshana! I definitely agree – I’ve been dressing it up and down, and have been considering getting it in black?!
