My Travel Bucket List

If you’ve been following along for a while, then you know I love traveling. I’m a big fan of domestic travel, but international destinations are my absolute favorites! Some of my top places have been Cuba, Paris, Italy, the Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic.

2018 was a pretty good travel year for me – as I visited Cancรบn, Washington D.C., and of course Paris and Italy. While I absolutely loved 2018, I’m hoping that 2019 will be even better, and luckily I already have some fun things planned! So, today I thought I’d share some trips I already have booked, along with other destinations on my 2019 travel bucket list for the year.

WHAT I HAVE PLANNED

MEXICO

What a surprise! I’ve been to Mexico quite a bit (mostly to Cancun, but also Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta), and it never gets old. It’s such a quick trip and just so beautiful. This time I’ll be heading to new-to-me Nuevo Vallarta for my 25th birthday! I’ll be going with some girlfriends, and cannot wait. It’s all I’ve been thinking about lately. Sun, the ocean and tequila. Does it get any better than that?

NEW YORK CITY

This trip I’m super excited about, because for the first time I’ll be going to the US Open! Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge tennis fan, so this is a dream come true. My mom and I are going over Labor Day weekend, so there will be plenty of time to explore the city, try fun restaurants and shop… lots of shopping!

CHICAGO

Off the bat this doesn’t sound that exciting because I just moved from Chicago, but it is for me! Particularly because some of my best friends live there, and I’m so thrilled to visit them! I’m supposed to head there in the summer, and can’t wait. I absolutely loved living in Chicago (and I wrote about my experiences here and here), and love being there. It’s such a fun, lively city – and there’s nothing better than #summertimechi.

WHERE I WANT TO GO

LONDON

I don’t know what it is – but I have been obsessing over London for months! London seems so beautiful and fresh, and I must go there! Spring seems like the most ideal time to visit, but I’m totally open to a fall visit. Hopefully by the time I head there, Big Ben will be close to finished!

ICELAND

This is definitely an unexpected destination for me, but it’s been so trendy lately as I’m sure you all have seen. The Blue Lagoon is at the top of my list, but also the pretty waterfalls and landscape! I’m not really a hiking person, but would definitely go hiking in Iceland.

AMSTERDAM

In addition to Paris again, my mom and I are talking about coupling Amsterdam into our trip. Amsterdam seems like such an awesome place with a really cool night life, and I would love to cross it off my bucket list. Plus, I hear there’s great shopping!

What’s on your 2019 travel bucket list?!

You’re going to love NYC! I live here, but I feel like I don’t take advantage of it as much as I should.

I’m planning on stopping by Japan and Paris this year :)!
