My Goals & Aspirations for 2019

Wow! What a year 2018 was! It’s still so hard to believe that another year has come and gone – yet here we are. When I began 2018, I had high hopes – both personally and professionally. While there were some hiccups along the way and not all of my goals were accomplished, I’m still so happy and content with how I ended the year!

In the beginning of 2018 I took some smaller trips to Cancun and Washington D.C., and then rounded out the year with the trip of a lifetime to Europe alongside my mom. I’m still on cloud nine from that trip, and can’t wait to share more content and photos with you all. In the meantime, be sure to check out my Venice Travel Guide.

With that said, I can just sense that 2019 is going to be an amazing year – so let’s dive into everything I’m hoping to accomplish!

Personal

As I mentioned, I’m really happy with how things turned in out 2018 compared to previous years, and can’t wait to see what the next year has in store. Without giving away too much, there’s some big changes happening VERY soon (which I can’t wait to share), and am so excited! Aside from that – and I know this is super cheesy – I really do want to prioritize my health and be more cognizant of how I’m fueling my body. Chicago is such a foodie town, and it’s time that I learn to enjoy eating out while making healthier decisions.

Blogging

This year I really want to focus on increasing my blog traffic and followers, and becoming more consistent with my content. Towards the end of the year I really began experimenting with different methods to drive traffic to the blog and I think I’ve finally figured out what works for me. Creating relevant and useful content – and then taking the time to promote that content – especially paid off toward the end of 2018, and I scored the most views to my website ever! I really like the shift I took this year in creating posts that weren’t centered solely on fashion, and am looking forward to sharing even better content in 2019.

Career

In last year’s post, I mentioned that I really wanted to find something that I was passionate about. While I didn’t quite reach that goal in 2018 – I think I’m on the right track for 2019 🙂 Like I mentioned before, there’s some big changes happening that I’m so thrilled about. I’m looking forward to continuing to expand upon and learn new skills, and just try out different things!

What are your goals and aspirations for 2019?
